Dallas Area Haunted Houses

Did you ever think “It’s not Halloween if you don’t go out at night and get the living daylights scared out of you”? If so, you’ll have almost unlimited options in the Dallas area this holiday season. From Dallas, Plano and Fort Worth to Midlothian, Terrell, and Waxahachie, these ten haunted house attractions deliver all the screams and jump scares you could want for Halloween.

Junkyard Haunted House

2700 Sylvan Avenue Dallas  (Oak Cliff)

 

At this junkyard themed haunted house, costumes are encouraged and video recording is too. Their website is a bit scary (from a design and update perspective) but once you find the videos from prior years you’ll get a good feel for what to expect. You can’t buy tickets online and must pay cash or app once on site.

Oct.4-31 Friday through Sunday 

8 pm to 1 am

$25 Admission. Parking is free.  

Two payment lines – one for quick cash and one for app (Venmo,CashApp) payment. Credit cards are not accepted.

Dark Hour Haunted House

701 Taylor Dr, Plano

This fully indoor haunted attraction has larger-than-life sets and award-winning costumes. Expect to spend about 30 minutes on the walk-through tour. The VIP experience lasts about an hour to an hour and a half.

Weekends through Nov 2

6:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. most days (check hours when you reserve your spot)

Tickets $43-$86. Parking is free. 

 

Creekside Manor

2411 Plainview Rd, Midlothian, TX

This haunted house has four experiences: The Manor, The Zombie Fallout, The CarnEVIL World of Clowns, and the T.W. Bass Insane Asylum.

Fridays and Saturdays Oct 4-Nov 2 plus Halloween night. Entry times every hour from 7:30-11:30 pm.

Tickets $25, $40 Fast Pass

 

Thrillvania 

2330 Co Rd 138, Terrell, TX

This 50-acre horror park has three attractions: Haunted Verdun Manor, Cassandra’s House of Clowns, and Sam Hain’s Trail of Torment

Fridays, Saturdays, and select Sundays through Nov 2 plus Halloween night.

Tickets $34.99-$44.99

Thrillvania offers a combo pass with Cutting Edge Haunted House if you want to do both.

Cutting Edge Haunted House

1701 E. Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth

This multi-story haunted house has live actors, special effects and monsters in an old meat-packing plant long called “Hell’s Half Acre”.

Open Sept 28, plus Fridays, Saturdays, and select Sundays through Nov 2. Also open Oct 24, 29, 30 and Halloween night.

Tickets $29.99 to $49.99.

Cutting Edge Haunted House offers a combo pass with Thrillvania if you want to do both.

Hangman’s House of Horrors

4400 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth

Located on a former military base, this haunted house walkthrough also has a horror-based interactive art exhibit, a zombie outbreak while you wait, as well as their take on an escape game. Scaredy Cat nights are offered on a couple of early Sunday evenings. 

Friday, Saturday, Sunday through Nov 2 plus Oct 29, 30, and Halloween night.

Tickets $39. Fast Pass $49  Time Entry Upgrade $69. Parking is $10.

 

Fort Worth Haunted House

Two haunted houses, from the same folks who run the Junkyard Haunted House in Oak Cliff.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday from Oct 4 to Nov 2.

Tickets $25. Free Parking 

 

Moxley Manor Haunted House

510 Harwood Road, Bedford

This attraction gives you three haunted houses for one ticket price: Moxley Manor, Regan’s Revenge, and Big Top Terror.

Weekends (varying days) through Oct. 31

Tickets  $35 General Admission – $50 Fast Pass Admission. Parking is free.

 

The Parker House

8550 West University Dr, Denton

Experience three separate attractions in Denton–an Outbreak Zombie Ride, a Haunted House Walkthrough, and a bonuse Psycho Circus if you purchase a combo of both.

Find this theme park on the site that becomes Scarborough Faire every spring. The park includes five haunted houses, walk-through attractions, stage shows, games and more. If you need to feed your fear, there’s a food court, food trucks and 7 different pubs and taverns.
